Ursa Major Stratégie-Conseil

Rigour without weighing down the decision.

An important decision does not improve simply because more pages are added. It improves when the facts are sound, assumptions are visible, options can be compared and consequences are understood.

01

Start with the real situation

I begin with what is happening in the business: the available numbers, signals from day-to-day operations, constraints, decisions already made and questions that remain open.

02

Connect what is often considered separately

Cash flow, people, operations, the market and technology affect one another. A local decision can move risk somewhere else.

03

Compare genuine options

Act, wait, test, maintain the status quo or do nothing. The criteria are explicit, the calculations reproducible and the level of uncertainty clearly stated.

04

Provide a clear recommendation

Analytical tools can support the work. I remain responsible for the recommendation I make; you remain responsible for the decision.

Clear boundaries protect the quality of the perspective.

Ursa Major does not practise public accounting and does not provide legal or tax advice. Deliverables are for internal management use. The decision and implementation remain yours.

Frequently asked questions

Who is Ursa Major for?

Quebec business owners who carry decisions that affect several parts of their business and want an outside perspective while keeping the decision in their hands.

Do you replace my management team?

No. I work directly with the business owner without taking part in managing the team. The team retains all of its responsibilities.

Do you work with my accountant or lawyer?

Yes. Their work is often a starting point. I work alongside them without encroaching on their role and without providing public accounting services or legal or tax advice.

Let’s talk about what’s on your mind.

The initial conversation is a chance to understand your situation and determine whether my perspective could genuinely help. There is no fee and no obligation. If I am not the right person — or if another professional is better placed — I will tell you clearly.
